Sarina Lungarini --Week Five

So I tried to get as close as I could to some objects  and even using the flower icon on my camera, some shots just ended up being really blurry, however I think the photos I did manage to take met the criteria for this week. Most of these photos are taken from my workplace and my backyard.

I like this because you see the shine of pebbles

One of the few moments my dog is still enough for me to take a picture of him

  1. Okay, good Sarina... My favorite is the one with the blue and white stones. There is enough variation to make it interesting yet the repetition creates a unity of design to make the shot strong and intentional. You dog is great... to make the shot stronger, I would darken the foreground and upper left side, drawing the viewer more strongly into your pups eye... the focal point of any portrait.

The stones in full sun are awfully contrasty.. the only way to soften that is to wait for less harsh light or to diffuse the light with white sheer material or white nylon...That is a bit more advanced though than this beginning class...

Ditto on the garden sculpture... very contrasty light and excessive saturation.
